The jar has no obvious damage i. E chips or cracks, there is wear to the mat gilt on the feet, handles and Foo lid. There is the normal glaze crazing. A fabulous statement piece at 52 x 21 cm or 20.5″ x 8.25″ with lovely intricate enamel decoration front and back; the decoration is as good as it gets on any Satsuma piece. Not being an expert I have not been able to identify the mark on the lid rim which is the only mark on this jar and lid; to help with identification I have included a photo of the mark on the other jar for sale for identification purposes only please look at photo 12.
