Late 19h century Japanese ginger jar features flowing lotus flowers of orange and blue with trailing green and yellow leaves on the white ground. Two deep blue vases with extensive gold trim located at the base alternated with a stepped base displaying a singular flower. The shoulder of the vase displays alternating panels of orange with a gold geometric design with soft lilac with center flower and gold accents. The stepped base displays complimenting accents of gold and orange. The cover displays matching panel design as displayed o the shoulder of the ginger jar. There is wear to the gold on the finial and orange panels on the cover. The ginger jar body has the very lightest of gold trim wear. Difficult to see but is there. Overall condition is very good with no chips, cracks or crazing. The other ginger jar has a small tight hairline crack located at the top of the rim. No maker’s mark evident.
