A very pretty Japanese goldstone three footed cloisonné jar or koro and cover enamelled with butterflies, flowers and birds. The goldstone sparkles brightly when lit from above and makes it look like a little jem. The jar is 9cm high. Overall in generally good condition, there is a very minor chip around the rim of the lid. There are some chips and losses to the underside of the lid where the finial is screwed in which are not seen when the lid is in place. One of the feet is very slightly bent inwards. Please refer to photos above. The item “Late 19th/Early 20th Century Japanese Cloisonne Jar/Koro With Lid Meji period” is in sale since Saturday, April 27, 2019.
